Abstract
June
2019, Bandar Lampung City experienced inflation of 0.63 percent due to
an increase in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) from 137.53 in May 2019 to
138.40 in June 2019. Of the seven expenditure groups, five groups
experienced inflation or an increase in the index Bandar Lampung City,
namely the foodstuffs group experienced inflation of 2.47 percent;
clothing group 0.27 percent; processed foods, beverages, cigarettes and
tobacco 0.19 percent; health group 0.04 percent; and the housing, water,
electricity, gas and fuel group 0.02 percent. In contrast, the
transport, communication and financial services group experienced
deflation (a decrease in the index) by 0.10 percent. Meanwhile, the
education, recreation and sports groups did not experience inflation or
deflation.
The
contribution of the general expenditure group in the formation of
inflation in June 2019 was 0.63 percent. The three expenditure groups,
namely, the foodstuffs group contributed to the formation of inflation
by 0.60 percent; processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group
0.04 percent; and clothing group 0.01 percent. In contrast, the
transport, communication and financial services group contributed to the
formation of deflation by 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, housing, water,
electricity, gas and fuel groups; health group; and education,
recreation and sports groups do not contribute to the formation of
inflation or deflation.
Some
of the dominant commodities contribute to the formation of inflation in
June 2019 including: red chili 0.58 percent; jengkol 0.05 percent;
oranges 0.05 percent; live chicken 0.04 percent; squid 0.04 percent;
0.03 percent long beans; cucumber 0.03 percent; petai 0.03 percent; 0.03
percent rice; and pear 0.02 percent.
